Another shoot for Bury in Bloom this afternoon, this time at St. Peter’s House care home for the awards presentations for Senior Green Fingers, a competition sponsored by local company Treatt and run for nursing and residential homes in Bury St Edmunds. To try to ensure that everyone could be included there were a range of award categories ranging from Best Wildlife Promotion to Best Community Involvement and Best Art Project. A number of residents and staff from various homes in the area came along to enjoy the afternoon and it was a lovely, happy occasion, put together in a very nice way so as to make sure that each table came away with a prize.
After the presentations had finished and we had eaten the most delicious tea and cakes I took the opportunity to have a quick wander around the gardens and have a look at what the elderly residents had been up outdoors.
I really enjoy photographing for Bury in Bloom, particularly on joyous occasions such as these. It’s nice to be able to help to promote my beautiful town in some small way as well as giving something back to the local community.
If you are hosting a ceremony, however big or small, and would like some photographs to record the event, please get in touch. Maybe the people taking part would like a lasting memory of the occasion. Perhaps you’re looking for some photographs to promote or advertise your company or cause. Maybe you’d like some pictures for the press or for your sponsors. If you think I can help at all, I’d love to hear from you and we can a chat about what I could do for you.
