A couple of days after Bury St Edmunds’ amazing success in the Anglia in Bloom awards, Bury in Bloom organised a photo shoot in the town’s Abbey Gardens to celebrate with a number of the workers and volunteers who had put in so much effort throughout the year to make Bury beautiful. The local press were invited and it was a lovely happy get-together. I’m so proud to have played even a very small part in the town’s success but also humbled by those who have done so much, in many different areas, to make our town green, clean and beautiful.
