Family photography in Suffolk

A few weeks ago I spent an enjoyable afternoon photographing a lovely local family. One of the joys of being a Suffolk photographer is being surrounded by beautiful countryside with its changing seasons, each different yet impressive in its own right.  Autumn has come late to our part of the world this year with the falling leaves now colouring the world in beautiful golds and browns so it seemed a shame not to make the most of this natural tapestry.   Hence we headed out to a woodland trail on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds for a relaxed, fun photo session.  The light was gorgeous, as it often is at this time of year, and we found some great trees to use as a backdrop for the images we were after.

Having chatted to the family beforehand about what they wanted from the photoshoot I had some ideas in mind but, as in most good informal shoots, unplanned opportunities opened up for some enchanting pictures.

As the air became chillier and the light started to drop we headed home for some more family shots indoors, this time of the children on their own, and it was lovely to round off the afternoon with some very welcoming hot chocolate.

Here are a few images from the session.  We had such good fun and you guys were awesome to work with as well as making me feel very welcome so thank you for a lovely afternoon.  I hope that we can repeat it again sometime.

If you would like to create some family memories that will be with you forever and that you can also share with those closest to you, please get in touch.  Maybe you’re looking for that special gift for family and friends.  Give me a call and we can have a chat about how I can help.
