Waving goodbye to 2020

2020 has been a tough year and difficult for many people in lots of ways.  Looking at the positives, thankfully Mike and I have stayed fit and healthy and whilst a bit stop-start, my photography business has continued to thrive. I’ve been thrilled to have been entrusted to capture some special family occasions and celebrations through the parts of the year that we weren’t in lockdown and I’m grateful to have some more of these to look forward to in 2021.

Despite the lockdowns my corporate work continued to form an important part of my business and it is both gratifying and humbling to see my images out there both on the web and in print and other marketing media. The power of imagery for both branding and marketing really cannot be underestimated and I’m excited to be working with both local and national brands over the next few months.

Whilst many horse shows and events were cancelled this year due to Covid, I’ve been busy photographing both dressage and jumping clinics and have been privileged to work with renowned trainers Charlie Hutton, Paul Cornish and Ben Hobday.  I’ve met some beautiful horses, made new friends, had a lot of fun and thankfully not yet killed off Charlie with my coffee-making abilities.  I’m looking forward to working with you all again in 2021.

Now that 2020 is done and dusted I’m really looking forward to 2021 and what it will bring.  My diary is filling up with weddings and events and I have a couple of interesting projects of my own to work on (watch this space). It’s going to be fun!

My New Year’s resolution for 2021 is to pick up this blog again (I think I said that last year too but many rules got broken in 2020!) so do keep an eye out to see what I’m up to. If you are looking for high-quality, professional images of your wedding or family celebration or if you’d like a family or equine photoshoot please get in touch. Alternatively if you are looking for corporate headshots or event coverage I’d love to hear from you.

Despite the lockdowns I have taken thousands of images this year and met many delightful people so I’ve selected just a handful of my favourite portrait images from 2020 to sign off with.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.
