A sprinkling of frost in Suffolk

The current cold snap has reminded me of my love of snuggly jumpers, hot chocolate and log fires.   There’s nothing like sitting in front of a roaring fire on a chilly evening with a warm cat snoozing on your lap and a mug of hot chocolate (or even a large glass of red) to hand.

Apart from forcing me to get up ten minutes earlier than usual when setting off to work so as to have time to de-ice my car, the arctic weather has also provided some great photo opportunities.  The garden has been looking magical with leaves and stems bathed in sparkly frost.  Ice on the car windows formed delicate lacework patterns before melting and creating some gorgeous abstract reflections.

Moving away from that very British topic of the weather, I was delighted to hear earlier this week that one of my showjumping photos taken at last year’s South Suffolk Show is on the shortlist to feature on this year’s show poster.
