Received with thanks

I met Elaine when photographing the Senior Green Fingers presentation last week and a couple of days ago she asked me if I would photograph a cheque presentation today by two local organisations to the Gatehouse Dementia Hub in Bury St Edmunds. Some low-life has stolen the hanging baskets and planters from the Dementia Hub garden (visiting more than once!) and the local community has been brilliant in offering both goods and donations to help replace the items that have gone walkabout.

Before the presentation we were given a guided tour of the Hub with Elaine, who is the Hub facilitator, telling us about the work done by Gatehouse which ranges from day drop-ins for both dementia sufferers and their carers through to Christmas lunches and the management of food banks along with an active shop selling all sorts of second-hand goods.

Thanks to both Bury St Edmunds Abbey Rotary Club and Hawksmoor Investment Management Ltd, Gatehouse received two sizeable donations today towards a new set of garden planters.

If you are hosting a presentation and would like some photographs to record the occasion, please get in touch. Perhaps you’re looking for some photographs to promote or advertise your company or cause. Maybe those involved would like a picture for posterity or perhaps you’re thinking about sending an article to the press. If you think I can help at all, I’d love to hear from you and we can a chat about what I could do for you.
