Following Bury St Edmunds’ success in October in the regional Anglia in Bloom competition – we did have fun celebrating in the Abbey Gardens – I was delighted to hear the other day that the town has now been put forward to compete as the region’s entry in next year’s national Britain in Bloom competition. Run by the Royal Horticultural Society the competition will be judged in August 2018 and the hard work starts now.
I am so proud, as well as humbled, to be part of the wonderful group of people, many of whom are volunteers, who are involved in making our town so attractive, and also thrilled that my photos have played a part, even if small, in our town’s success. I am so looking forward to continuing to work with Bury in Bloom next year – bring it on!
